WE LOVE IT HERE, YOU WILL TOO!

Experience The Historic Riverboat House.

History

"The Historic Riverboat House" was built by Lewis M. Cresse circa 1903. Cresse was mayor of Ocean City from 1907 - 1911 and was elected to the state assembly in 1900. The property was later purchased by a local Ocean City social club, which became known as "The Riverboat Club." Despite Ocean City being a dry town, it made a few exceptions to the law and one such exception was that a social club could have a stiff drink in their clubhouse. As a result the famous "Riverboat Bar Room," was born.

In 2016 the famous property was placed on the market for sale and Alex K. the new owner of the "Riverboat House" jumped on the opportunity to own an incredible piece of history, which he then decided should be shared with the public for the first time in over a hundred years. Alex is now offering the Riverboat House as both a vacation summer rental & off season rental for special events such as weddings & reunions.

Open houses are available on the weekends of dates that are not booked. Call to confirm or check our booking calendar on the "Availability" tab of our website.
