"The Historic Riverboat House" was built by Lewis M. Cresse circa 1903. Cresse was mayor of Ocean City from 1907 - 1911 and was elected to the state assembly in 1900. The property was later purchased by a local Ocean City social club, which became known as "The Riverboat Club." Despite Ocean City being a dry town, it made a few exceptions to the law and one such exception was that a social club could have a stiff drink in their clubhouse. As a result the famous "Riverboat Bar Room," was born.
Open houses are available on the weekends of dates that are not booked. Call to confirm or check our booking calendar on the "Availability" tab of our website.
